Cfast is a simple, gentle, minimally invasive cosmetic orthoidontic treatment that corrects alignment issues. Notably it is designed specifically to (only) work with the front 6 teeth on both the upper and lower arch (jaw). So it is more suited to cosmetic (milder) orthodontic cases rather than the more complicated cases, involving posterior teeth.
The Cfast system uses clear orthodontic brackets and tooth-colored nickel-titanium wires. So, Cfast is barely noticeable – and worn for only a fraction of the time compared to other traditional brace systems. Treatment time can be as low as 8 weeks!
The fixing of the brackets to the teeth makes the tooth movement much more predictable and often more than twice as quick.
It works by using the nickel-titanium wires to put gentle but continuous pressure on the brackets. This helps to level and align the teeth with minimal discomfort to the patient. Notably the gums (Gingiva) also follow the tooth movement to achieve a fantastic aesthetic outcome.
As Cfast concentrates on only the front 6 teeth that most influence the appearance of the smile (often termed ‘the social 6’ it takes less time than conventional orthodontics so can often make orthodontic adjustments quicker.

Cfast aligners are very discreet and hard to notice unless people get very close. The Cfast aligners will not affect your speech or eating.Standard orthodontic mechanics are still involved with CFAST, but because it’s just the front teeth, the total (sum) force required is minimal. The nickel-titanium wires exert mild pressure to encourage the teeth to move. The system therefore does not require the severe (uncomfortable) tightening often associated with conventional orthodontic treatments.

How does it work?
Each positioner is designed to fit over the teeth and apply ‘gentle’ forces to gradually move the teeth. Each positioner is worn for (minimum of) 22 hours a day for 2 weeks. By this time
the positioner should feel passive and you can then move onto the next positioner that has further movements built-in.
